Fresh and fruity nose of wild berries, plums and spice.
In the mouth the oak flavors are well integrated, notes of plums follow, accompanied by soft tannins and a slightly spicy finish.
Pair with roasted or grilled chicken or pork, roasted vegetables, sausage and potatoes with rosemary.

Wine Description
The Gerbino Rosso blend is the pillar of the family production.
It expresses the unique terroir and climate in a harmonious blend of international varieties and the Sicilian king of grapes, Nero d’ Avola.
Named after the Gerbino vineyard, the oldest family vineyard originally planted in the 1860's.
Hand harvested grapes are de-stemmed and fermented separately in stainless steel tanks.
Warm maceration on the skins for around 20 days.
The Nero d’Avola & Syrah are aged in used French oak barrels for 3 months.
The wine is finally blended to achieve a flavorful yet elegant blend.
