In the nose is intense with fruity bouquet (red fruit notes).

Medium bodied wine, well balanced and ready to drink.

Very good wine for pairing with first courses, barbecued and roast meat, game birds and seasoned cheese.

Apulia Wine

Varieties: Sangiovese, Malvasia Nera and Aglianico

Production Area: Salento, Puglia.

Very red soil rich in iron oxides lying upon a layer of calcareous rock, located in the Salento region.

Vineyards: The vineyards lie a short distance east of Taranto in the Salento Peninsula on red soil rich in iron oxides lying upon a layer of calcareous rock.

The sea breezes of the Ionian Sea allow achieving delicate flavors in the grapes and fresh and persistent mouth feelings.

Vinification: Destemming and crunching of the grapes; maceration at controlled temperature for 8-10 days with regular pumping overs.

Draining off and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Refining in used American and French oak barriques for 4-5 months.
