Ribolla Gialla Ca’Tullio D.O.C. Friuli Colli Orientali

Italian white wine with 100% Ribolla Gialla wine grapes.

White wine with straw yellow color with green highlights.

The aroma is fresh floral bouquet reminiscent of acacia blossom.

In the palate it’s a fragrant white wine with a dry and refreshing palate.

This white wine is outstanding as an aperitif or with raw fish but equally delicious with rice or pasta in subtly flavored fish sauces.

We recommend a serving temperature between 10° to 12°C.

GRAPES: Ribolla Gialla

Pre-fermentative low temperature skin contact for 12 hours at about 10°C.

Soft-crushing, must clarification by settling at low temperature and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures using selected yeasts with regular stirring of the fine lees.

The wine then matures in tanks before going into bottle.

Two hectares, mid hill, marl and clay soil, planted 2001 with an average yield per hectare of 70-75 quintals.

Winery was established in Aquileia, a unique location rich in history and where the winemaking tradition dates back to 200 BC.

It is here that we tend to our native grape varieties with great respect for tradition.

Our aim is to enhance the native characteristics of our wines, making them recognizable as originating this particular region and their impeccable winemaking.

The vineyards cover several terroirs within the DOC Friuli Aquileia and DOC Friuli Colli Orientali areas.

Different terroirs indeed that share a unique culture, which is all about tradition and strong attachment to the land

This region in the north-east of Italy, squeezed between the Upper Adriatic and the Carnic and Julian Alps, presents an incredible variety of soils. Indeed, in the same plot of land you can have patches of yellow marls with alternate streaks of pebbles and dark clay with sand.

The Cellar

The area of the DOC Friuli Colli Orientali includes the range of hill in the Province of Udine.

The wines produced in this area are the result of a unique combination of soil, climate and grape variety.

These very favourable pedoclimatic conditions have allowed these native varieties to flourish.

The native varieties as well as those imported to the area that found the most suitable pedoclimatic conditions in the Colli Orientali area, have been cultivated since unmemorable times,  yielding wines of excellence in terms of quality.

We craft wines from grapes grown in our estate vineyards in the DOC Friuli Aquileia and DOC Friuli Colli Orientali areas.

We produce varieties that are typical of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

"Land that lies at the northern end of the Mediterranean Sea"

In the vineyards that stand on the hills of the DOC Friuli Colli Orientali area we grow Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Schioppettino and Pignolo.

These lands of alluvial origin, and long since devoted to agriculture, feature soils with good pebble-gravel texture which are suitable for white grape vines, while the red grape cultivars naturally grow well on the hills where the soils are rich with clay.

Thanks to an exceptionally suitable microclimate, an ideal exposure of the vineyards, and not less important, careful and sensible farming techniques, we produce wines that are important and appealing.
