PURE BY NATURE
Water Fastio springs from the interior of “Nossa Senhora do Fastio” original cave. Famous for its exclusive qualities and excellent properties, for centuries people have been travelling to Geres to drink its unique water.
The first Water do Fastio characterization study dates back to 1917, and in 1920 Charles Lepierre, defined it “as distinctly hyposaline and very pure mineral water”. In 1922, Diário do Governo publishes the first exploring authorization.
Water Fastio emerged in the market for the first time in 1979, soon making its stand as one of the most recognized water among consumers, for its unique mineral characteristics.
FEEL GERES
Located North of Portugal, Geres constitutes a granitic chain with 70.000 hectares, which features an impressive beautiful landscape marked by ecologic and ethnographic values and a vast fauna variety. – Garrano wild horse, Gerês mountain goat, royal eagle, iberian wolf… - as well as flora – lilies, mistletoes, oak Tree…
It’s within this environment that Peneda – Geres National Park is located, considered by UNESCO as a global Biosphere reserve and one of Portugal’s Seven Wonders of Nature.
The specific geological characteristics of this region are responsible for the physico-chemical composition of Água do Fastio, which makes it distinct from any other natural mineral water.
Agua do Fastio has its origin in Serra do Gerês.
